Rulani Mokwena's vow to the Orlando Pirates faithful

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Rulani Mokwena has made a vow that the club will bounce back from five straight matches without a victory.

Pirates appear to be in dire straits following the shock resignation of former head coach Milutin Sredojevic.

Recent form has seen the Sea Robbers crash out of the CAF Champions League as well as the struggle for goals and form in South Africa's top flight.

He said: "It is going to sound like excuses if I come and sit here and say we haven't had training sessions and we haven't had time to put together the team. And the Buccaneers are not people of excuses, we are not people who want to look at the negatives.

"We look for positives and the marginal gains - trying to improve from where we are. That is the outlook I have always had in life. I am a very positive person.

"I try to find the positive in all negative situations. And we will continue to soldier on and persevere and face this challenge of adversity and make sure we come out stronger."

Pirates are next in action on Wednesday evening when they take on Golden Arrows at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
