Ritchie: Wits determined to get back to winning ways

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits defender Keegan Ritchie is confident his team will return to winning ways when they take on Golden Arrows in an Absa Premiership encounter on Thursday.

The Students have not tasted victory in their last six matches, going back to the start of November when they won a Caf Confederation Cup fixture.

Due to their commitments in the continental tournament, Wits have plenty of catch-up matches to play in the league.

The Students have three fixtures remaining before the mid-season break, with the game against Arrows followed by encounters against Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City.

Ritchie told the club's website: "We started off very well, among the top teams for the first few weeks, but we've let that slip now.

"Yes, we have a lot of games in hand, but we just need to take it game by game and try and get results.

"It is going to be a tough game, away from home, Arrows are a good side, but if we focus on our game we can beat them and get the three points."

Wits currently occupy ninth place on the PSL standings, but have played up to six games less than some of their league rivals.

Kick-off is at 19:30.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
