Rise and Shine sign Malawian defender

Cape Town - Polokwane City have secured the acquisition of Malawian defender Denis Chembezi as they look to sort out their defensive frailties.

Rise and Shine have conceded the second-most goals of any team in the Absa Premiership this season and have regular defender Sibusiso Mbonani and Nicolas Motloung sidelined through injury.

Chembezi was on trial at the Limpopo-based side last week in which he has impressed the club’s coaching staff and the 23-year-old has now agreed a two-year-deal with Premiership outfit.

Chembezi was on the books of Malawian side Be Forward Wanderers.
