Cape Town - Tokelo Rantie is looking to resurrect his ailing football career with Bloemfontein Celtic after training with the Absa Premiership team on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old forward's career is currently in limbo after he was released from his contract with Sundowns at the end of last year after going AWOL.

Rantie, who is now a free agent and can register with any club immediately, is looking to impress Phunya Sele Sele coach Lehlohonolo Seema enough to earn himself a contract.

Celtic CEO Khumbulane Konco told KickOff: "He only started training this morning (Tuesday).

"We all know what Tokelo is capable of doing on the field of play.

"We are going to look at him and we will take it from there."

Rantie was previously on the books of Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City while he also had a stint with English Premier League club Bournemouth.
