Polokwane - Polokwane City striker Rodney Ramagalela has bemoaned the poor pitch conditions at the Orlando Stadium following their 1-1 stalemate against Orlando Pirates.
Ramagalela was on target as Rise and Shine settled for a draw against the struggling Buccaneers in an entertaining Absa Premiership clash on Saturday.
The Mamvuka-born forward said that they were disappointed to drop two points due to the slippery pitch conditions.
"I want to extend my praises to the coach and my team-mates for their support," Ramagalela said.
"They believed in my abilities and we worked hard together and I managed to score.
"Yes we were disappointed not to hold on to our lead. But considering that we were playing away from home a point is better than nothing.
"The poor pitch conditions also played a part in us conceding an equaliser.
"I believe that our defence would have done better if it wasn't for the mud at our goal posts."
The Buccaneers will next challenge Kaizer Chiefs in a Soweto derby Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, while Polokwane City face Baroka FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.
Both matches kick off at 15:30.
