Rama credits team efforts

Durban - Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has lauded his teammates following yet another impressive 1-0 victory over Highlands Park at the Moses Mabhida stadium on Saturday.

A Lorenzo Gordinho strike was sufficient to register Chiefs fifth consecutive triumph and piled more misery on the Lions of the North.

Mphahlele insisted that the Soweto giants remained calm and disciplined throughout the game to absorb Highlands Park pressure.

"I think we have worked very hard as a team and credit must go to my teammates," said Mphahlele.

"We were helping each other throughout the game and we remained tactically disciplined.

"We knew it wouldn't be easy but we remained calm and confident. And now we got the three points that we wanted and we'll keep going."

Chiefs are currently enjoying a rich vein of form in front of goals and the former Mamelodi Sundowns skipper said they intend to show no mercy to their opponents.

"We just want to score goals against every team we play against," warned Rama.

"We want to bully our opponents and we always want to force mistakes out of them.

"Whether it's set pieces or open play we'll get the goals. We're very persistent."

Chiefs are currently at the summit of the log and they will be looking to keep their good run going when they face Ajax Cape Town on Saturday.
