Cape Town - Orlando Pirates midfielder Vincent Pule has explained how new coach Josef Zinnbauer has managed to resuscitate the Buccaneers.
Zinnbauer has won five of his six matches since taking the helm and remains unbeaten in his brief tenure thus far as the Sea Robbers have trampolined into the fourth position on the Absa Premiership standings.
And Pule has hailed the German mentor's impact at the Soweto giants, saying that the side now creates more chances under his watch and score more goals too.
The 25-year-old says Zinnbauer has brought the confidence back into the squad by making the players believe in their quality.
"In the first round we were not scoring, and we were conceding goals. I think now it’s better – we're scoring more goals and quicker too," said Pule.
"In the first half we create more chances and we score, and I think it’s better because we’re now winning games. I think we needed luck; we didn’t have that in the first round.
"Now our luck is back and we’re scoring goals and winning games. I think we’re taking one game at a time, and I think our confidence is back.
"We will keep on fighting and keep on performing. I think it’s possible for a top-three finish, we’ll keep on going and keep on fighting to make it possible."
