Pule determined to win trophies for Pirates in 2019/20

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates forward Vincent Pule says the club are determined to bring home silverware next season after ending 2018/19 without a trophy in the cabinet.

Pule was one of the Sea Robbers star performers in the previous campaign as Bucs went out in the group stages of the CAF Champions League, lost the Telkom Knockout final to Baroka and finished second to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa Premiership.

The 27-year-old, who contributed eight goals and three assists in 26 appearances, walked away with the PSL Goal of the Season on Sunday night at the league's awards ceremony.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "We have to give supporters something next season. We worked hard this season but unfortunately we didn't get anything.

"We have to work harder next season. We have to collect more points at home next season in the league.

"We have to work hard together to get more than 57 points.

"Pirates are a big club. You need to have a big heart to succeed at Pirates. I remember the first day when I got there, I found coach Micho (Sredojevic) and Rhulani (Mokwena).

"They were sitting together and talking a lot about our previous games at our previous clubs and emphasising our strong and weak points. I immediately felt at home. They made us feel at home. It was an unbelievable feeling when we got there."
