Cape Town - PSL will take action against Mamelodi Sundowns for failing to attend their Nedbank Cup Last 32 press conference.

According to KickOff, Highlands Park and the Brazilians were to have a joint press conference on Wednesday, March 2 in Parktown.

However, according to PSL media relations officer Luxolo September Sundowns opponents were only present at the 12:30 press conference.

“Both clubs were invited to be part of the press conference and, as far as I know, they all confirmed to be coming. We’ve been communicating with them; Highlands Park was here on time; unfortunately Mamelodi Sundowns were not here,” confirms September.

“I have personally tried to call a few people at the club but rather unsuccessfully, so at the moment I don’t really want to speak on their behalf or say what is going to happen,” he adds.

“It’s important for us [as the league] to look at to what our processes, rules and compliance manuals say, and we will be guided by those in terms of what we do from here.”
