Cape Town - Sport24's Tashreeq Vardien opts for three in midfield after Absa Premiership's strikers dominate week 14.

PSL log standings...

Next round of PSL fixtures...

1. Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United) - The only 'keeper to keep a clean sheet this past weekend alongside Kaizer Chiefs' Reyaad Pieterse. United recorded a surprise victory over Golden Arrows.

2. Tebogo Langerman (Mamelodi Sundowns) - Two assists from the defender allowed Sundowns to edge the University of Pretoria.

3. Lebohang Motumi (Polokwane City) - Was a demanding figure at the back for City and even assisted one on Mncwango's goals.

4. Eric Mathoho (Kaizer Chiefs) - Back from injury and showing signs of his old self again. Was sorely missed by Chiefs.

5. Mosa Lebusa (Ajax Cape Town) - Scored the winning goal for Ajax in a much needed victory.

6. Nkosinathi Mthiyane (Chippa United) - Should have scored a brace if it were not for Nkosingiphile Gumede's brilliant save however in his only goal on the day, the midfielder started the attack and finished it off.

7. Khama Billiat (Mamelodi Sundowns) - When on form, he scores.

8. Jabu Maluleke (Polokwane City) - Quite a figure in midfield for Rise and Shine - Maluleke assisted one of Mncwango's goals and shows tons of leadership qualities.

9. Prince Nxumalo (Ajax Cape Town) - A goal and an assist, as Nxumalo forces himself in the PSL Team of the Week to make it a front three.

10. Thobani Mncwango (Polokwane City) - SCORED FOUR GOALS AGAINST SUPERSPORT UNITED!!

11. Collins Mbesuma (Mpumalanga Black Aces) - SCORED TWO GOALS AGAINST BIDVEST WITS!! Before their Rise and Shine clash Wits had the second best defensive record in the league.
