Cape Town - With four PSL games ending in stalemates, Sport24's Tashreeq Vardien assembles a Team of the Week for the first Absa Premiership fixture of 2016.
Premier Soccer League Team of the Week
1. Washington Arubi (University of Pretoria) - In a relegation zone battle against Jomo Cosmos, Arubi was the difference and Cosmos struggled to rattle AmaTuks' net.
2. Kwanda Mngonyama (Maritzburg United) - The 22-year-old's thunderous shot helped earned Ernst Middendorp his first point as he returned to the Team of Choice.
3. Willem Mwedihanga (University Of Pretoria) - The defender's goal was enough to secure all three points for Sammy Troughton's side.
4. Lehlohonolo Nonyane (Mpumalanga Black Aces) - The experienced defender gets the nod over Orlando Pirates' Tshepo Gumede. Aces are now level on points with Mamelodi Sundowns.
5. Clayton Daniels (SuperSport United) - Cross in a decent ball and surely this guy has a chance to head it home - exactly what he did against Maritzburg.
6. Issa Sarr (Orlando Pirates) - Sarr put in a great shift at Orlando Stadium, the midfielder should have scored a second but his effort went just wide of the post.
7. Deon Hotto (Golden Arrows) - The Namibian coolly netted his goal in the 40th minute. An assist and a goal for the midfielder.
8. Kudakwashe Mahachi (Golden Arrows) - Since he departed Chloorkop, the attacking midfielder has come to life in Arrows colours.
9. Toriq Losper (Ajax Cape Town) - The energetic winger got a goal for all his efforts against Celtic in a game which Ajax should have lost.
10. Frank Mhango (Bloemfontein Celtic) - Did his job and should've scored two goals but his lobbed effort failed to find the target.
11. James Keene (Bidvest Wits) - An assist, a goal on debut and straight into our Team of the Week. Welcome to the PSL James Keene.
