PSL promotion playoff draw info and procedure

Cape Town - Here is the 2015/16 promotion playoff draw procedure. The draw will take place on Monday, May 9 at 11:00.

Three clubs participate: Position 15 in the Absa Premiership, Position 2 in the National First Division and Position 3 in the National First Division.

The Promotion Play-offs follows a league format - all clubs play each other home and away according to a set of fixtures which are prescribed in the Rules. There is no Under 23 Rule and 5 foreigners may start.

As the names of the clubs that will participate in the 2015/16 Promotion Play-offs have not been confirmed yet, for the purpose of the draw, we will refer to “PD15, NFD2, NFD3”.

The draw will replace CLUB 1, CLUB 2 and CLUB 3 in the fixtures with the applicable clubs, based on final league position.
