Cape Town - The PSL have ordered Absa Premiership new boys Stellenbosch FC to find another venue as Idas Valley Stadium does not meet the stipulated criteria.
"Idas Valley is not approved," PSL Chief Operating Officer Ronnie Schloss told KickOff.
"Stellenbosch Football Club was still in negotiations with Stellenbosch University. They submitted three venues which was Stellenbosch University, Idas Valley and Athlone. But they are trying to get Stellenbosch University.
"I've been there at Stellenbosch University, it's absolutely fine, it's just that they have to put up the fence around the pitch. It depends on them putting the fence around the pitch, it's Danie Craven Stadium, the rugby stadium.
"Idas Valley doesn't meet the requirements of the League from a safety point of view. There's a whole host of things that don't meet the requirements, but mainly on the safety, the number of exit points, the number entry points and so on."
Idas Valley Stadium has a capacity of 2500, whereas Danie Craven can hold up to 17 000 spectators at one time.
