Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will not
intervene or assist Kaizer Chiefs with their appeal against a two-window
transfer ban imposed by FIFA.
World football's governing body banned Amakhosi from registering
new players after they found that the transfer of Andriamirado 'Dax'
Andrianarimanana from Madagascar club Fose Juniors in 2018 was illegal.
PSL prosecutor Nandre Becker said they have taken note of
the ruling but won't get involved after Chiefs said they intend to appeal the
judgement at the Court for Arbitration in Sport in Switzerland.
Becker told KickOff: "It doesn't really affect the PSL.
"They (FIFA) will make the ruling obviously and a copy
will be sent through to the League so that we can amend our records
"Look, it's virtually a private matter between the club
and FIFA at the end of the day.
"There's no involvement from the League's point of
view, we haven't done anything, we weren't involved.
"So, there's not much we can do from our side except to
say 'listen, we are bound by the FIFA decision until it's changed or set
