Leopards, Cosmos guilty of PSL misconduct

Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee has found both Black Leopards and Jomo Cosmos guilty on charges of misconduct.

Black Leopards FC were charged with failure to provide adequate security during the National First Division play-off match against Cosmos on Saturday, May 6.

They were fined R150 000 excluding VAT - suspended for 24 months. They were also ordered to pay costs of the sitting amounting to R33 000.

In the second matter, Cosmos were also found guilty of contravening the Sport and Recreational Events Safety Act after it allowed supporters to enter the stadium without tickets during their Promotion Play-off match against Black Leopards on May 20.

Jomo Cosmos have been fined R125 000 – suspended for 24 months.
