PSL announce 2018/19 season kick-off date

Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League have confirmed that the 2018/19 Absa Premiership season will kick-off on Friday, August 3.

Tshwane outfit Mamelodi Sundowns will look to defend their title after winning a record eighth league crown last campaign.

With the transfer window currently open, teams have already began the process of strengthening their squad in order to challenge Pitso Mosimane's charges.

However, all 16 PSL teams will have to wait a further week or two to find out who they will play in the opening weekend.

The fixtures are set to be released in due course.
