Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is delighted to have played a role in midfielder Andile Jali earning a recall to the Bafana Bafana setup.
Jali was very much on the fringes of the Sundowns first team last season but has bounced back in terrific fashion.
The 30-year-old has been rewarded with a call-up to the Bafana side for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, which have been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
And Mosimane admits at first, he was baffled as to how to get the best out of Jali.
"Probably, I took time to realize how we could help him. He also took time to help himself," Mosimane told IOL website.
"So, to get those guys back, to get (Motjeka) Madisha back and Andile (Jali) into the national team, that makes me happy."
Jali has formed a formidable combination alongside Hlompho Kekana in midfield for the Brazilians and former Orlando Pirates star appears to be back to his best.
