Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane gave credit to SuperSport United after the teams played out a 1-1 draw in the first-leg of the MTN8 semifinal on Sunday.
Masandawana will be the happier of the sides as they scored an away goal through Gaston Sirino after Thamsanqa Gabuza gave Matsatsantsa the lead just before halftime.
Supersport used their two big forwards, Gabuza and Bradley Grobler, to good effect as they unsettled the Sundowns defence with their aerial ability.
Mosimane told SuperSport TV after the game: "They are an awkward team, they've got gladiators, all the ball is up in the air, which is their strength. We dealt with that.
"Their strength is on set-pieces, they don't like inter-play, they take it to the sides and put the ball to the box.
"They are right to do that, if you have (Thamsanqa) Gabuza, (Bradley) Grobler and (Evans) Rusike look at the height. They play to their strength, which is okay."
The second leg of the semi-final will be played on Wednesday, September 18 again at the Lucas Moripe Stadium but this time with Sundowns as the designated home team.
