Pitso pleased to knock-off high-flying Baroka

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane was pleased to see his side score four goals against high-flying Baroka FC in their Absa Premiership clash on Tuesday.

Before kick-off, Kgoloko Thobejane’s charges occupied top spot in the league with 19-points after an incredible start to their 2017/18 campaign.

However, Bakgaga came up short against the Brazilians as goals from Motjeka Madisha, Percy Tau and a Themba Zwane brace secured maximum points.

Mosimane praised his counterpart (Thobejane) for the type of football he has introduced to the Limpopo side and believes that teams in the league, as well as the public, often undermine him.

"You could see the coach of Baroka, Kgoloko Thobejane, is doing a very good job," said Mosimane in his post-match interview with SuperSport.

"Sometimes we undermine him, he's playing good football."

Mosimane continued: "The last 15 minutes, they were a little bit dangerous with their combination play. This how they played against Platinum Stars and Cape Town City.

"They are dangerous, we couldn't even contain them."

The Sundowns mentor believes that the flurry of goals will give his players the much-needed confidence in the long run of the season.

"When you score goals, the confidence comes back. Sundowns plays football," the 53-year-old coach said confidently.

"We got the rhythm and we got the triangles proper. I'm happy for Percy (Tau) to score two goals, because he does everything right but score goals.

"I think he should have scored a hat-trick. It will encourage him to score more goals.

Mosimane added: "Overall, we played well. We started well. I think it's our third game where scored in the first three minutes, which is good and it helps us with confidence."
