Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes that midfielder Hlompho Kekana is on track to be crowned as the PSL Footballer of the Year.
Kekana has played a key role in the middle of the park for the Brazilians, weighing in with five goals while keeping the team ticking over.
While the likes of Khama Billiat, Keagan Dolly and Leonardo Castro have been grabbing the headlines for Sundowns, Mosimane says Kekana has been a crucial performer for his team.
"He is running the show. I will be surprised if he is not a contender for the Footballer of the Year," Mosimane was quoted as saying by KickOff.
"He scored important goals against Maritzburg United. He scored against Mpumalanga Black Aces - he scores everywhere. I will be surprised if he doesn't get nominated."
