Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns
coach Pitso Mosimane revealed he would learn from some of the best
coaches in the world if he were to take a sabbatical from the club.
Mosimane has brought unprecedented success to Sundowns since 2012
where he was won eight major trophies including the CAF Champions League
There has been suggestions he may take a break following an
exhaustive schedule both domestically and in Africa, however, it seems
he does not yet have plans to take a sabbatical.
Nonetheless, he revealed he would acquire more coaching education if
he did, saying: "It can be tiring, and sometimes when you pull back you
are not losing.
"For me if I have to take a sabbatical, I'm not saying I'm taking one
now and stress everybody at Sundowns...but if I have to then I'll go
"I'll follow Pep [Guardiola], I'll follow Thomas Tuchel [PSG
manager], I'll follow the coach at Napoli [Carlo Ancelotti], I'll follow
the coach at Eintracht Frankfurt [Adi Hutter], I'll follow the Ajax
Amsterdam coach [Erik ten Hag].
"There's a new generation [of coaches] coming and I'd like to see how
they do things, why they do things this way. I'll go learn and when I
come back I'll be much stronger, a better coach. People are far ahead. I
feel if I do that, I'll contribute more to the country."
