Pitso reveals team selection strategy for Wydad battle

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he will recall goalkeeper Denis Onyango while the likes of Wayne Arendse and Anele Ngcongca will return to face Wydad Casablanca.

Sundowns are set to take on the Moroccan giants this Friday in a CAF Champions League first leg semi-final at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah.

Onyango missed the last three Premiership matches against SuperSport United, Baroka and Chippa United while Arendse and Ngcongca were rested against the Chilli Boys.

Mosimane told reporters: "You know what happens in Wydad, you have seen games away.

"We need Denis in those games, and we want to make sure Denis is available.

"He could have played [against Chippa United] but we didn't want to risk him.

"Also, the old legs Wayne Arendse, Anele Ngcongca and we've got to trust Mosa [Lebusa] and other players, so we rested them.

"We need fresh legs and we needed to give Sirino game-time. He has not played for long and you could see he was a little bit rusty and also give Vila [Sibusiso Vilakazi] time to play, and it's good Lebo [Maboe] is back."

Kick-off on Friday is set for 21:00 (SA time).
