Pitso reveals Mphahlele boost

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane revealed that Ramahlwe Mphahlele is close to returning from ankle injury.

The club captain has been sidelined since January but has been making the necessary progress in order to make a return in order to help his side claim the Absa Premiership trophy.

According to KickOff, Mosimane says that the defender could make an appearance when his side faces AS Vita in the CAF Champions League next weekend.

"He is back now," said Mosimane.

"He has already given us 45 minutes and with the whole week I believe can give us 70 minutes which is brilliant.

"If he can give us 70 minutes then we will go to Kinshasa with the advantage of having another extra player back into the team."

Meanwhile, Sundowns will face Mbombela United on Saturday in a Nedbank Cup Last-16 fixture before travelling to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
