Pitso relishing Chippa duel

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he is looking forward to coming up against Dan Malesela in the MTN8 semi-final against Chippa United.

The Chilli Boys made their debut in the lucrative tournament this season after coach Dan Malesela led them to their highest-ever finish in the Premiership (sixth) last season.

The Port Elizabeth-based outfit booked their passage to the final four after recording a comfortable 2-0 victory over Platinum Stars and the Masandawana mentor predicted the two-legged affair to be a thrilling one.

"They have a good coach in Dan Malesela. They pass the ball around. We can't complain about the draw. The good thing is that we are playing the first leg away," he told Sowetanlive.

"And the pitch there is flat, so we should have a good game. We'll have to play well over two legs," he said.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
