Pitso nominated for top CAF award

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, has been nominated for the Men's Coach of the Year award at the 2019 CAF Awards.

Mosimane was the tactical mastermind behind yet another Sundowns Absa Premiership title during the 2018/19 season but saw his side get knocked out in the final four of the CAF Champions League.

Mosimane is one of five South African nominations for the prestigious awards honouring soccer on the African continent.

He is joined by Desiree Ellis (CAF Women's Coach of the Year), Percy Tau (CAF Men's Player of the Year), Themi Kgatlana and Refiloe Jane (CAF Women's Player of the Year) and Themba Zwane (CAF Inter-Club Player of the Year).

The CAF Awards take place in January 2020.

Here are the full list of nominees up for a CAF award.
