Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane admits that he was not satisfied with their goalless draw against Absa Premiership minnows Highlands Park.
The Brazilians were eager to go into Saturday’s MTN8 semi-final clash against Cape Town City with a victory, but it was not to be for the Tshwane outfit.
Sundowns had to finish the match with 10-men as defender Ricardo Nascimento received a red card for showing dissent towards referee Phelelani Ndaba.
“Yes, I’m very much frustrated with the way the game went on,” Mosimane told SuperSport TV.
“My players did whatever they had to do. I’m not encouraging Ricardo to get a red card.
“I’m the first one who speaks against it, and that was uncalled for, that’s how it is with my players.
“The other side, I’m not there to talk about it.”
Mosimane continued: "I was not happy with (Gaston) Sirino getting a yellow card. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it. Probably the referee is right, and if he's right, he must give it.
"But what about the boy going through to Denis Onyango a minute before? So, they (Sundowns players) get frustrated. They are human beings -- but what can I do?"
