Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says Thembinkosi Lorch creates and scores goals which ultimately can bode well for Bafana Bafana.
The 25-year-old is in the South Africa squad which is set to take on Libya later this month in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
South Africa need a point to qualify for the tournament in Egypt, whereas the Mediterranean Knights require a victory.
Lorch is a key performer for the Sea Robbers having amassed 11 goals in all competitions for the Milutin Sredojevic-coached outfit.
In addition, the forward has recorded five assists in the Absa Premiership as well.
As such, Mosimane takes the view that the PSL Player of the Month for February can help bring success to Bafana Bafana.
"I want to congratulate Lorch first for the award, it's long overdue. I mean he is scoring goals and he is really contributing to Pirates' success from last year," Mosimane said as quoted by KickOff website.
"What's encouraging for him is that he is starting to score goals. As I always say I don't like wingers who just cross the ball, wingers must score.
"So, he is just showing maturity and he is getting there. His contribution is big. He is a hard runner, he is always there, and he is always fighting for the team. He deserves it.
"The future is bright. I'm just crossing fingers that very soon he will be helping us with national colours."
The fixture will take place on Sunday, March 24 at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Tunisia, with kick-off at 18:00 (SA time).
