Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says that his side are prepared for the challenge of playing in the CAF Champions League, as it is a sign of their pedigree.

The Brazilians appear set for a busy schedule of matches in the coming weeks after last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Morocco's Wydad Casablanca in Group C of the tournament at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.

The Premiership champions are next in action in the league on Saturday against Bloemfontein Celtic before a clash with Barcelona in an international friendly.

Downs were meant to play Guinea's Horoya on the following Tuesday in continental action, however, this game will be reportedly moved to accommodate the tie with Barca on the subsequent Wednesday to commemorate the Nelson Mandela centenary celebrations.

Nonetheless, despite an exhausting schedule of matches to come even when most PSL teams are gearing up for an off-season break, Mosimane says it is something his side relishes.

He told SuperSport: "Every year we are the last ones to finish, every year we are the first ones to start. It's part of it, it's part of our legacy. If you want to be the top team in Africa, this is it.

"They (Wydad Casablanca) do the same, so there's no complaint, it's this level. Good game, we tried."
