Pitso enthused by CAF progression

Cape Town Pitso Mosimane could not hide his delight as Sundowns remain the only South African representative in CAF competitions this season.

Kaizer Chiefs, Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town were all knocked out as the Brazilians set-up a grueling tie against DR Congo outfit AS Vita in the second round of the Champions League - now Pitso wants to thank the local media for their support.

"The media is supportive guys," Mosimane told KickOff.

"For me I don't have a problem because the whole week we read was Champions League, back pages and all that.

"It's been good support for Champions League with you guys doing your part and we are trying.

"We don't want the mentality that South African teams are softies, they don't take the Champions League seriously and they always complain," he added.

"But we need proper support hey."
