Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are considering offering a contract to former Bournemouth striker Tokelo Rantie, according to head coach Pitso Mosimane.

The 28-year-old is on the lookout for a new club after parting ways with Cape Town City, where he failed to make an impact under head coach Benni McCarthy.

And with Rantie having trained with Masandawana recently, Mosimane feels the player "deserves a chance".

"We will talk to him and find out his feelings," Mosimane was quoted as saying by KickOff.

"This guy was playing in [English] Premier League. This guy was playing in Turkey. There must be something there.

"Let's give a try, let's give the guy a chance to play. He deserves a chance.

"With us, we have never seen any problems and that's why we are considering [signing him]."

Prior to joining Cape Town City, Rantie represented Gençlerbirligi in Turkey and English side Bournemouth.
