Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed the Brazilians have made three signings but would not disclose the names of the new acquisitions.
After Downs' CAF Champions League quarter-final exit to Al Ahly at the weekend, Mosimane said the club needed to bolster the squad if they were to ascend to the pinnacle of African football once again.
And on Monday morning, the Masandawana mentor confirmed that the club have secured three new acquisitions.
Meanwhile, Far Post have reported that Black Leopards star Lesedi Kapinga is close to finalising a move to Chloorkop, while Kaizer Chiefs' Khama Billiat and SuperSport United's Aubrey Modiba have also been heavily linked with the Absa Premiership champions.
"We have made signings and it's just that they (the media) don’t know. We have made signings that I have recommended, and the club has gone with them.
"We have strengthened the team – for next year, a little better than what you see," Mosimane said when asked for the latest on his contract talks at Chloorkop.
"We have added two more, we have got three players signed already. But we can’t talk. That will be now a better team than this one in the Champions League.
"I've done that, I have recommended them, and I am happy the club has gone with them. So, we are okay. We try again next year."
The injury which has ruled Uruguayan striker Mauricio Affonso out for three months has further exposed Downs' lack of strikers and this is an area they are likely looking to rectify in the transfer market.
