Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane says the incidents that marred their 6-0 win over Orlando Pirates at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday have no place in Absa Premiership football.
Mosimane condemned the actions of the fans that left 13 people hospitalised, following the pitch invasion and vandalism of equipment which halted the broadcast of the game.
The acts of hooliganism delayed the last eight minutes of the match by an hour as police evicted the culprits, before securing the safety of players and staff to return to the field and dugout to complete the league encounter.
"The game has got mixed emotions. The good part and the unfortunate part‚" the former Bafana Bafana coach said post-match.
"Everybody knows that issues like this should not be condoned.
"I usually bring my son to games. Today I'm happy he did not come - he was watching on TV. This is what we don't want‚ bringing children to the game and women to the game.
"When you find unfortunate things like this it's not nice because we're struggling to fill the stadiums and to put a good product on the pitch."
