Pirates will 'fix things' soon, says Micho

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic believes there are plenty of positives to be taken from their start to the season, and soon the team will begin to click.

Pirates have started their 2018/19 campaign with a draw against Highlands Park, defeats to SuperSport United and Wits while they beat Chippa United 1-0 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Despite an early exit from the MTN8 and picking up four points from nine in the league, Sredojevic takes the view that the Sea Robbers will soon find their best form.

"In football there are two types of crisis: crisis of performance and crisis of results. When you have crisis of performance and results then it's a disaster," he told reporters as quoted by KickOff website.

"But when you have a season in front of you, it's very normal to enter with these types of setbacks of losing. We had a very unfortunate accident to lose, and this is a slight setback.

"However, we do not at all have a crisis of performance. We believe that in the four matches we have played (that) we have dominated, except when we got the red card away in Port Elizabeth. Apart from that moment, we believe that we have performed well.

"We believe that we are lacking amounts of entrances and amounts of automatism in position, whether it is side attack, central attack or dodging off-sides behind the opponents' defence from set-pieces.

"All these things are areas where we are working and where we believe, with the players we have and the work we are doing, that very soon we shall fix the things and have a complete product."

On Sunday, Pirates travel to the Free State Stadium for an Absa Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
