Cape Town - Orlando Pirates brushed aside NWU in Potchefstroom as Muhsin Ertugral continues to prepare the Buccaneers for the PSL season.
Pre-season preparations have been going well for Ertugral and his charges as the newly appointed coach has been putting his side through their paces in a five day camp in the North West.
According to the club's official website, the 2016/17 Pirates squad played in its first friendly against NWU winning the match in the process 5-0.
For the friendly match, Ertugral used two different squads for the two halves to assess all his players at his disposal, barring the exclusion of Bernard Morrison and Jackson Mabokgwane who were nursing injuries.
The result was not particularly the main focus for the technical team but rather, to assess how the players understand the new coach’s methodology.
However, the players put a five star performance with goals from - possible man of the match, Luvuyo Memela, Thamsanqa Gabuza, Oupa Manyisa, Thandai Ndoro and Ntsikelelo Nyauza.
