Pirates sign Stellenbosch FC midfielder Zungu

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have confirmed their first signing of the January transfer window with the acquisition of midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu from Stellenbosch FC on a three-year contract on Friday.

Zungu's capture is Pirates' first and likely to be their only with the transfer deadline set to close on Friday evening.

Other than Zungu's arrival, there have been the exits of Justice Chabalala and Tebogo Tlolane, who were sent on loan to Bloemfontein Celtic and Maritzburg United respectively, while Asavela Mbekile's contract was terminated.

“I am happy to be here and I look forward to a successful stay at the club,” said Zungu on his club's official website.
