Pirates linked with Thanda defender

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates are reportedly keeping tabs on Thanda Royal Zulu defender Ayabulela Magqwaka, according to Roger Sikhakhane.

Amabhubesi coach Sikhakhane confirmed that members of Bucs' technical team went to watch Magqwaka during the clash with Cape Town All Stars earlier in December.

Magqwaka has been an ever-present for the team from KwaZulu-Natal as they have maintained an unbeaten record in the National First Division to top the standings.

Sikhakhane told KickOff website: "They (Pirates) came to watch him here when we played All Stars and it is also (bodes) well for the club that we're doing something right.

"He's a good boy and has done well for himself since we got him here. I hope he remains focused to help us on the course of this season as we want to challenge for the title this season."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
