Cape Town - Orlando
Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojevic feels fatigue prevented his side
from snatching three points in the Soweto Derby on Saturday afternoon.
The Buccaneers dominated possession in the 0-0 fixture over Kaizer Chiefs for large spells of the game and while both sides has their fair share of chances, Micho believes their mid-week Premiership encounter took it's toll on the players.
Pirates played out to a 1-1 draw with Platinum Stars in their mid-week fixture and the goalless stalemate with their fierce rivals was their fifth draw in nine games.
"From the start I believe we dominated. In the second half we made changes in order to go for the killer," he told SuperSport after the game.
"It is impossible for a game of this magnitude to dominate from start to finish. We had fallen down because we only had one day's rest after our match [in midweek].
"In the end a very good game for the audience, for the supporters. It's like a cane without sugar in the end. The goals were the only thing missing, we tried our best but unfortunately it was not supposed to be."
