Pirates deserve more credit, says Micho

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojevic feels that the football his side have been playing has not been fairly rewarded with points.

Pirates beat Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 on the weekend to move into second spot on the league standings, one point behind leaders Baroka FC.

Before that, the Sea Robbers had gone through a patch of four draws and two defeats in the league.

Sredojevic, however, feels that the Buccaneers have been playing well and could easily have had a few more points in the bag.

"Football is a game where it is not, you get what you deserve, but it is what you get," he said.

"I believe that in all the games we played, we could (have got) much more than what we got.

"Having in mind the possession we had, having in mind the chances we created, having in mind minimising the chances created towards us.

"If football was a game where you get what you deserve then we would get much better results. Football is not what you deserve, football is what you get in the end," Sredojevic added.

Buccaneers are next in action when they host SuperSport United in an Absa Premiership clash at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday, December 5.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
