Pirates crash out of CAF CL as Sundowns advance to meet Cote d'Or

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns shook off defeat in the first leg to thrash Otoho d'Oyo 4-0 in the CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg in Pretoria on Saturday evening.

The Brazilians will now meet Seychelles minnows Cote d'Or the first round of Africa's biggest club competition.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates crashed out of the tournament after a 1-1 draw with Green Eagles in the second leg of their preliminary round tie.

With the Zambian outfit having won the reverse fixture 1-0 a fortnight ago in Lusaka, a draw was enough to see through to the next round.
