Cape Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt has labelled Thursday's clash against Orlando Pirates as vital in his side's quest to lift the Absa Premiership trophy as the title race at the top continues.
Hunt said that although he feels no pressure to win the league, he is determined to change last year’s narrative - where Wits lowered their guard at a crucial stage in the title run-in - by winning all their remaining games.
“Every game will be tough. Everyone needs a win at this stage of the season. All we have to do is to win,” said Hunt.
Wits will be welcoming the 8th-placed Soweto giants who are fighting to consolidate their place in the top eight with a win at the Bidvest Stadium.
Wits are precariously sitting at the top of the league table holding a slender one point advantage over Mamelodi Sundowns and two ahead of Cape Town City FC with 5 games remaining.
Hunt previously said that his side had the toughest run-in to the end of the season over their title rivals with games against Pirates, Maritzburg, Free State Stars, Polokwane and Kaizer Chiefs.
"We've got the hardest run-in, there's no doubt about it. Out of Cape Town City and Sundowns we've got the hardest run-in. I can't see any of them losing another game," Hunt told reporters.
Sundowns kick off Thursday's PSL action when they host Platinum Stars at Loftus Versveld at 18:00 with the Clever Boys hosting the Buccaneers.
Kick off is at 19:30.
