Pirates announce Mokwena as assistant coach

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have announced the appointment of Rhulani Mokwena as Milutin Sredojevic’s assistant coach.

According to the club’s official website, Mokwena joins the Buccaneers having been the assistant coach at Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Rhulani's approach to tasks is done in a commitment that is noteworthy,” said Sredojevic.

“I am pleased that he accepted the challenge.”

Mokwena especially thanked Sundowns for the opportunity and support he has received to reach this stage of his career.

"I thank the President Mr Patrice Motsepe and the coach Pitso Mosimane for not only providing me with an opportunity; I thank them for the grace with which they accepted and supported my acceptance of the Orlando Pirates challenge.”
