Pieterse: We are hungry to retain our title

Cape Town – Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse admits that his side are eager to reclaim the Absa Premiership title.

It was George Maluleka who netted a 59th minute stunner that handed Amakhosi an all important victory over PSL contenders Bidvest Wits.

According to KickOff, Pieterse says that Chiefs would have to muster up as many points as possible to have chance to lift the crown back-to-back.

"It was a tough game. I'm just glad that we got the three points. It was a team effort, I don't deserve this prize alone.

"I am just happy that we are staying with the pack and showing we are hungry to retain our title.

"We needed these three points to stay with the pack, it is gonna [going to] be difficult these last few games.

"We need to take as many points as possible and that is something the coach has instilled, the need to keep fighting."

Pieterse was awarded man of the match following an heroic display between the posts for the Naturena side.
