Pieterse confident of winning trophies with Sundowns

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse believes the club are guaranteed to win trophies and says he wants to take his game to the next level.

Pieterse recently arrived at Sundowns from Pretoria rivals SuperSport United and will compete for a place in the goalkeeping department against Kennedy Mweene, Denis Onyango and Thela Ngobeni.

As such, the 26-year-old takes the view that it is a big opportunity to shine and he welcomes the challenge with the 2016 African champions.

Speaking to KickOff website, he said: "To be honest, I don't even feel like I've hit my prime yet and, as you know, they say goalkeepers mature at a later stage.

"Of course, we would all like to be playing, but I feel like this move is to get better. I know for sure we're going to win trophies, but it's also to improve and compete with the best.

"Like they say, to be the best you've got to beat the best, and what a platform this is for me to do that."

The shot-stopper may have an opportunity to play when the Brazilians take on Golden Arrows in an MTN8 quarter-final on Saturday.
