Chiefs unveil new home jersey - PICTURE!

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have revealed their new home jersey for the upcoming 2016/17 season.

In keeping with what has become tradition at this time of the year, Chiefs and Nike will signal the start of the new season with the launch of a new iconic jersey.

Chiefs’ new Nike home kit with Dri-FIT technology pairs top Nike innovation with a design that honours the 15-year partnership between the club and global sport brand, and celebrates the extension of their contract.

The gold kit features a solid black stripe which runs down the sides of the jersey and shorts, with a half black stripe completing the back of the v-neck collar. The socks are gold with a distinctive black linear pattern on the calf.

Amakhosi's Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung believes the new kit is a perfect way to usher in a new era for the Sowetan side and is confident it will prove to be a hit with the multitude of fans.

“Following the changes at the club, we believe our new jersey represents the new generation and journey that we are embarking on as Kaizer Chiefs,” she says.

Siphiwe Tshabalala will lead his side out in their new strip at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, July 30 in a Carling Black Label Champions Cup tie against arch-rivals Orlando Pirates.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
