Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Lantshene Phalane has been rewarded with a new contract, quashing rumours of his potential exit.
Phalane is a key player in the Phunya Sele Sele midfield and has made 10 appearances for the club so far this campaign.
The 30-year-old has previously been linked with a January move to Absa Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs, but Celtic have moved quickly to tie their man down to a new three-year deal.
"Bloemfontein Celtic is delighted to announce the contract renewal of Lantshene Phalane on a new three-year deal. The journey continues," a club statement read.
The industrious midfielder has been at Celtic since 2015/16 season when he joined the Free State giants from Moroka Swallows.
Celtic will welcome AmaZulu to the Dr Molemela Stadium on Sunday for the final weekend of matches for the year as the Premier Soccer League (PSL) takes a two-week break during the festive season.
Kick-off is at 15:30.
