Phala insist SSU will take the game to Pirates

Cape Town - SuperSport United winger Thuso Phala has promised that his side will press forward in Saturday's Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates.

The two sides played to a 2-2 draw on the final day of the Premiership season, but Phala insist that Saturday's clash at Peter Mokaba Stadium will be a totally different ball game.

"We won't be thinking about the league game where we played to a draw when we play in the final," Phala told Goal website.

"We know that if we pressurise them in their defence we can open up spaces where we can create scoring chances. We also have to close them down in the midfield because that's where they have troublesome players who can cause problems for us.

"We know in the finals there has to be only one winner and for us to do that we have to take the game to them. Once we do that, we can be a better team."

Kick-off is at 15:00.
