Cape Town - Black Leopards winger Thuso Phala says he regrets the way in which he parted ways with SuperSport United and has apologised to the club.
The 33-year-old left Matsatsantsa last season after a disagreement with the club's management which resulted in a suspension just prior to his exit.
Phala spent six seasons with SuperSport and now feels remorse for his behaviour towards the end of his spell at the Absa Premiership outfit.
"I went back to the chairperson [Khulu Sibiya] to humbly apologise for the way I handled myself. I was emotional," Phala told Daily Sun.
"I went to the chairperson to apologise. I support this club; I have friends here and respect the fans. It was never my intention to hurt the club.
"They changed my life and I still watch their matches and celebrate when they win and score goals," the former Mamelodi Sundowns player added.
"To those, I've hurt, please accept my heartfelt apology. I regret my actions."
