Paulse suffers injury blow

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town have received a major blow with the news that striker Nathan Paulse could be sidelined for up to six weeks.

The lanky forward only lasted 15 minutes in his side's 2-1 loss to Orlando Pirates on Wednesday evening, following a clash with Edwin Gyimah.

After his wonderful early season form, the loss of the veteran forward comes as a major blow for manager Roger De Sa and his faltering Urban Warriors.

The 33-year old confirmed that he broke his forearm in the challenge with Gyimah and that he'll be receiving treatment imminently.

"It's a broken forearm," he told KickOff.

"I'm flying back to Cape Town this morning to see a specialist for further examination.

"It looks like an operation will be required. It looks like I may be out for six weeks, but we'll see."

The former Hammarby IF forward has been in fine form this season, scoring seven goals in 16 fixtures, including the MTN8 Final winner against Kaizer Chiefs.
