Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Bernard Parker says the club's recent signings have played a big part in Amakhosi's resurgence after a slow start to the new season.

REVEALED: What caused Mourinho, Pogba exchange

The Glamour Boys went through a difficult spell following the appointment of Giovanni Solinas as the club's new coach, but have since found their groove and registered three victories in a row.

The veteran striker has hailed the impact of the likes of Khama Billiat, who has been impressive in his first few months at Naturena and netted four goals in his first 11 games.

"The new guys in the team have really stepped in and they have also brought a new dimension to what Kaizer Chiefs is about," Parker told KickOff.

"They've got the flair, the skill, the pace and all that Chiefs is known for. Us as senior guys, we've also drilled in the culture of the team that we're always under the watchful eye of South Africa and Africa as a whole.

"We always have to conduct ourselves professionally and remain on that level as much as we can so that we represent the club well, and it really has paid off.

"We're also now more together in terms of the tactical aspect, we defend together, we move up together and we're more compact and solid, and I hope it stays like this.

"The spirit in the team is good, the competition is healthy, so it's just for us now to maintain it and also to improve from here onward."
