Polokwane - Polokwane City caretaker coach Nkueni Mayala says it is a good thing that Rise and Shine will finally get a new mentor to succeed Kostadin Papic following his controversial departure last month.
Rise and Shine will host a press conference at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Thursday to announce Papic's successor but the former Democratic Republic of Congo born goalkeeper remained mum on the identity of the upcoming tactician.
"It’s a good thing for us that we are finally getting a new coach," Mayala said.
"I mean, we are a big team and we can’t go on without a head coach.
"At the moment I don’t know or can’t say who is coming on board.
"But hopefully we’ll hear from the management team later today (Thursday).
"And then we’ll take it from there as a team."
The struggling Limpopo outfit has only managed to record two Absa Premiership victories this season out of ten games played.
Rise and Shine are currently occupying 13th position on the log standings.
It remains to be seen who their new man in charge would be.
